Our client, a leading international firm, is looking to recruit an experienced associate to join the firm's highly regarded financial services regulation and fintech practice. The team has particular expertise in the intersection of technology and financial services, acting for a wide range of clients, including start-ups and fintechs, corporates and investment banks, on a broad range of often cutting-edge, regulatory advisory work in the fintech space, including and in particular in relation to payments, crypto and artificial intelligence (AI). Aside from working at a firm with expertise in the tech sector, a particular USP is the quality and breadth of advisory work, combined with the lack of corporate / transactional support. The partners would like to hire a financial services regulation lawyer with private practice experience in the fintech space and in particular in relation to one (or more) of payments, crypto, or AI. The role would suit someone wishing to work within a more entrepreneurial team where they can develop a greater focus on, say, crypto and AI, as well as helping to shape the future development of the practice. There is excellent, senior Knowledge Lawyer support and the role will collaborate closely with partners who are genuinely invested in mentoring and bringing forward their associates.
