Investment Funds Lawyer (NQ – 2.5 PQE) – Top-Tier UK Law Firm

A leading UK law firm is seeking a junior Investment Funds Lawyer (Newly Qualified (Sept 24 upwards) – 2.5 years PQE) to join its highly regarded team. This role offers the opportunity to advise on complex fund structuring, regulatory matters, and high-value transactions across multiple asset classes.
 
The Role
The successful candidate will provide legal advice on the structuring, formation, taxation, and regulation of a wide range of investment funds, including those investing in real estate, securities, debt, derivatives, and alternative financial instruments. The team also advises large pension funds, private equity, infrastructure, and green energy investors. Additionally, the firm represents a select group of institutional investors, including public and private US and non-US retirement plans, funds of funds, sovereign wealth funds, foundations, and endowments.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on fund structuring, formation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drafting and negotiating fund documentation and investor agreements.
  • Monitoring and analysing legal and regulatory developments affecting investment funds.
  • Contributing to the development of know-how and training within the firm.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a cross-border team, ensuring a seamless service to clients.
 
Candidate Requirements
  • Newly qualified solicitor (admitted September 2024 upwards) up to 2.5 years PQE.
  • Experience gained at a reputable law firm, ideally within investment funds or asset management.
  • Strong technical legal skills, including drafting and legal analysis.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team-focused environment.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
  • Interest in legal knowledge management, training, and technology.
 
Education & Qualifications
  • Law degree or equivalent.
  • Completion of LPC and training contract (or equivalent qualification).
  • Admission to the Roll of Solicitors in England & Wales.
