You have acquired at least two years’ experience within the IP profession as a Patent Attorney working towards UK and European qualification. You should possess a formal qualification in Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science, providing there is a significant component in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning. You may have attained specific industry experience in addition to your STEM degree background. Applications from Finalist and recently qualified level Patent Attorneys would also be welcomed.
A highly regarded and award-winning Tier 1 firm is specifically looking to expand their practice group in the AI space, and this newly created role will allow you to work with several clients at the cutting edge of this ever-expanding field. The role can be based in either London, the South-East or South-West and will involve working closely with a number of Partners, fellow Associates as well as Trainees and IPSS specialists.
A role at this award-winning firm means access to a diverse client base from the get-go but with the scope and requirement to build the client base further. They can offer a wide range of high-quality work with particular focus on drafting along with prosecution, opposition work, freedom to operate and opinion work.
The remit will be highly commercial, involving work with clients all over the world on portfolios of various sizes from start-ups to multinational companies, where there is typically a strong leaning to drive IP strategy in this field. They focus on quality of advice and technical expertise, working for clients and industries who strongly value IP.
The firm has a forward-looking, ambitious and inclusive approach and as a part-qualified Attorney or Associate, you can expect to develop your full potential. They’ll invest in you as an individual, allowing you to grow personally and professionally; you don’t need experience in every area as they can up-skill and support your learning every step of the way.
The firm can offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme, hybrid office and home working, generous pension contributions and several other quantifiable benefits too.
